It’s Our Fifth Blogaversary

Can you believe Go Visit Hawaii is five years old? I can’t!

Though we’re thrilled and honored to win awards and be the leading independent Hawaii travel blog, it’s the comments from readers like these that we cherish:

Your website is awesome!  It was the only website I’ve gathered so much information about Maui.  I even bought the book Maui Revealed but I kept going back to GoVisitHawaii.com. – Fidel from New Jersey

While beginning to plan our 25th wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii, I was pointed to GoVisitHawaii.com. Through the use of the articles and links on the site I was able to plan our trip of a lifetime with confidence….So how was our trip? It was epic! All of the planning, reading, and researching really paid off, and we had the time of our lives! We can’t wait to return to the islands, and can’t imagine doing it without the help of GoVisitHawaii. I really enjoy the daily blog update which keeps my memory fresh, and my dream of returning to Hawaii constantly renewed. – Karl from North Carolina

This is a wonderful web site and blog that offers information about all of the Hawaiian islands. But we just relied on it for some extremely helpful Maui tips that I don’t think we could’ve found anywhere else. – Matt from Washington

I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart as we are spending the most amazing vacation ever and your site is a part of it. – Phillipe from France

We write the same advice on Go Visit Hawaii as we would give to our friends and family. So we love it when we hear your feedback on how Go Visit Hawaii helped you make the most of your Hawaii vacation.

Thanks again for reading Go Visit Hawaii!

Note: We recently discovered that we actually started Go Visit Hawaii in October 2006. We blogged sporadically for several months until we started in earnest on March 29, 2007. So, we’re kind of like the Queen of England with an official birthday and actual birthday. We reserve the right to celebrate both. Winking smile

  4. Happy anniversary! GVH has been such a huge help before both of our trips to Maui. Can’t imagine having gone without learning here first. :-)

  5. Happy 5th to you! That’s 5 years of helping people plan their dream trips to Hawaii. A great service, as far as I’m concerned. Congrats!

  6. EEK! Sorry, I didn’t even see this come up in my feed! I saw your comment this morning, though. Congrats and best wishes for another five years!

  7. Congratulations to you Sheila and you too Andy! You have both shined such golden light on the state of Hawaii and its many travel jewels. I hope this blog has also served you both – to me it is a great example of finding your passion and running with it!

We have a ways to go still in getting the destination to understand how all these moving parts of the web benefit them directly but you are among the pioneers!

We started http://www.beachwalks.tv in Feb 2006 with over 2.5 million video downloads and still are not considered a Hawaii tourism asset. :-)

I hope you take pleasure from the users of the site! For them you are priceless!

    Aloha, Rox
