Aloha Friday Photo: South Maui Sunset
Posted on Fri, Mar 19, 2010 by Sheila
Today’s photo is from the exceptionally talented, Maui photographer, Peter Liu. I’ve been a big fan of Peter’s photography, so I’m thrilled that he’s given us permission to share one of his many stunners.
From Peter’s blog, he wrote that he was on his way home from the store when he noticed this sunset. So he grabbed his camera gear and headed to the beach. Ah, such is the life!
Be sure to check out Peter Liu’s photography blog for more photos that will have you wanting to hope on a plane to Maui ASAP. Mahalo nui loa, Peter, for sharing your beautiful photo with us!

Seriously Peter, I’m so honored to be able to share one of your shots!
You might get a kick out of this…When Andy and I were on Lanai in January, we found a nice sunset spot over near Puupehe (Sweetheart Rock). We noticed the sky reflection in some tidepools so we moved over to get that in the photo. As Andy would snap the photos and show them too me, we’d both comment how they were “Peter Liu style”

Robert – there’s lots of good body surfing fun in Hawaii. I hope you get a chance to try it for yourself soon.

Fabulous picture! I always try to capture shots like this and fail miserably. It obviously takes patience, know-how, and talent. Bravo Peter!
