Hawaii Cows

Big Island

After posting about Hawaii’s cowboy, the paniolo, earlier today, I was reminded of one of my favorite off-beat Hawaii vacation photos. So, I thought it would make a good excuse to share the photo here. It’s of a cow pasture near Honokaa off Highway 240 on Hawaii’s Big Island.

Off Hwy 240 Between Honokaa and Waipio Valley

Here’s a close up of one of the grazing cows. I bet that’s one happy cow. Happy Hawaiian Cow

Whenever I see a cow in Hawaii, I am forever reminded of Nathan Kam’s post as to why you should never ask one for directions. :)
