It doesn't have the frenzied atmosphere like the other hotels. The decor is really modern and hip. I stayed there in February while construction was going and had a couple of issues that did not get a response from the staff. So I wrote to the manager about our experience and she responded and apologized and sent us a gift certificate for a free night. I was very impressed with her response. This time around, the construction was complete and it looks great. We didn't have any problems at all. Everyone was very friendly. My only real complaint is that the views aren't the greatest. What a difference right? It was nice because we also got to see a wedding taking place in the courtyard area. I really like that hotel but it's expensive. I've been trying to go there every time I visit Hawaii, but the line is always too long. So, I tried again, this past Sunday and again there were way too many people standing outside. I was starving so we I ended up going to brunch at the Halekulani which was fantastic. That’s so funny about Eggs ‘n Things.
