Colors of Hawaii: Kauai Beach Blues and Tans
This lovely photo is of Polihale Beach on the west side of Kauai. Gaze on this photo for several seconds and you’ll probably start hearing the ocean lapping onto the shore and feel the breeze. Mahalo to reader B. Marks from North Carolina for sharing his photo and virtual escape to Kauai.

I love that beach! You need to drive a few miles down a dirt road to get there but it’s worth it. The beach is HUGE and it’s almost always nearly deserted. The photo above with only one other person on the beach is typical.
Hi Dave - I’m hoping to plan a visit to Kauai in October and I’ll have this beach on my list. It looks so peaceful.
