  • LoveInns.com has named their top 10 most romantic B&Bs. The Ho’olio House in the Lahaina area of Maui made the list. (You can see what TripAdvisor reviewers say about this B&B here.)
  • Maui’s Haleakala National Park is getting 4,100 acres larger. Per this KHNL News story, the addition expands Haleakala from the rim of Haleakala crater to the south coast of Kaupo.
  • Could the Big Island of Hawaii have the most tropical fish in the state? Coral is a major food source for tropical fish and according to a NOAA study, the Big Island has the most live coral.
  • There’s more choppy waters for the Hawaii Superferry. The Maui mayor asked the Superferry to postpone the second daily Oahu/Maui sailing. They’d like to examine the impact of a second trip. The second voyage may be added sometime in the spring. (Source)
