Some Saturday Blog Taggin’ Fun….

image Jimbo at My Brain Dumper tagged me to participate in a screen shot blog thingie.  He wondered if I might have a photo of “Coco Palms”.  ๐Ÿ™‚  Well, believe it or not, my screen background is not of Hawaii.  It is actually a photo of Bora Bora. That photo relaxes me every time I see it.

You might also notice how messy my icons are.  Most of them are screen shots of Pu’u O’o volcano from the Big Island of Hawaii.  I’ve captured a bunch of photos  from the live web cam and lazily saved them to my desktop.  (Yes, I realize I’m a volcano nerd!)

So, next I’m supposed to tell you how this thingie works and tag some folks to continue it.

My Desktop Free View Instruction:

A. Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.

You can do a screen capture by: [1] Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key). [2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V). [3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.

For MAC users: Press [ Apple] [ Ctrl ] [ Shift ] and [ 3 ]

B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of icons. Things like that.

C. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.

D. Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.

List of those who have participated:

add yours here after doing this tag.

[TAG ENDS HERE]

I’d like to tag Debo Hobo because I bet she has some cool travel photos.  Next, I’d like to see what Kailani has on her screen.  I wonder if it is photos of her cutie pie kids or something from Hawaii.  I’d also be interested in Dave Zuls’ screen shot.  I know he’s taken some awesome photos and I’d bet he has a tremendous one up on his desktop right now.  And to complete the taggin’, I’d like to tag my good friend Cheryl.  She’s an artist, so that makes me curious as to what an artist has as their desktop background.

  1. BTW – The view from the HanoHano room looks even better in real life. The view is just as impressive on the other side of the restaurant where you face Honolulu as well.

You should go. They have a bar so you can just order a cocktail or sit down and just order a coffee and desert. You don’t need to spend a lot of money or get all dressed up.

  2. Thanks, Dave! That is a fantastic photo. I’ll definitely have to add the HanoHano room to my plans next time in Waikiki.
