Hawaii Vacation News Roundup for October 1st

General Hawaii

  • Homespun Honolulu issued the second edition of the Carnival of Aloha.  There are 18 articles included this time.  Well done, Evelyn!
  • After renovations, Hotel Lanai is set to reopen October 12th with a celebration.
  • The Honolulu Advertiser describes a new agricultural tour of Molokai that’s offered through Ohana Concierge & Tours.  You can take this trip as a day tour from Maui.  You can get to Molokai via the Molokai Princess Ferry or by commuter plane.  My advice is to go by plane as the ferry ride can be an extremely rocky ride in the afternoons.
  • The New Your Daily News provides insight on what it’s like to explore Hawaii by cruise ship
  • Per Maui News, a mandatory safety meeting has been called for the biking companies that operate tours down Haleakala.

Thank you, Sheila, for sharing the carnival with your readers! Hmmm… about that meeting for Maui and the bike riders on Haleakala… I would love to know what happens with that and what they tell them! That’s gonna have to be some extreme safety tips!

Evelyn, you did a fantastic job hosting the carnival!

I’d love to be a fly on the wall for that bike safety meeting.
